Dr. Lauren Keating is a 1983 graduate of Tuskegee University.  She is a member and past president of the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Keating is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and serves on its Animal Welfare Committee.  Additionally, she is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.  In 2002, Dr. Keating was honored as Virginia’s Distinguished Veterinarian of the Year.

Dr. Keating spends her time away from the office riding horses and enjoying Rockbridge’s countryside with her husband, Standard Poodle, Corgi/Jack Russell, and cats.

Dr. Monique Siex

Dr. Siex, our part time associate, shares the NBHA practice philosophy of providing quality medicine and compassionate care for all of patients.  She graduated from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.  Following graduation from veterinary school, she worked as a mixed animal practitioner in the Shenandoah Valley for three years, then in a multi doctor small animal hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, for the next eleven years.  She maintains a strong interest in feline and internal medicine.
Dr. Siex shares a log home in the country with her husband, cats, horses and dog.
