What is AAHA?

Natural Bridge Hospital for Animals is an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association.  Since 1999, every three years, we have voluntarily undergone inspections by AAHA to ensure that we comply with the association’s high quality standards of care.  These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital, including surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, patient care, cleanliness, client service, emergency services, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesiology.  Only 17% of small animal practices in North America are accredited by AAHA.

We are proud of our AAHA accreditation.  As the only AAHA accredited practice in Rockbridge County, we feel that it shows our commitment to provide the best pet care and owner support, which, in turn, strengthens the bond between pets and their owners.

Animal Behavior Network

Do you ever wish that you and your pet spoke the same language?  Relationships with our dogs and cats are developed and strengthened, as we understand one another’s needs and desires.  We want to promote this relationship by offering a wide range of behavior services to make this possible.

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Animal Behavior Network.  With a complimentary membership to ABN, you will receive weekly e-mail information on animal behavior, as well as have access to their board certified veterinary behaviorist.  You will also have access to their extensive online animal behavior library.
